Amniodiag® 5 Strip
Test for the detection of premature rupture of fetal membranes (PROM).
Toda Amniodiag® 5 strip is an immunochromatographic strip test for the detection of fetal membrane rupture by detecting the IGFBP-1 protein from the pregnant woman’s amniotic fluid. The test uses a pair of monoclonal antibodies that detect the protein from a vaginal swab.
Detection of IGFBP-1 in vaginal swabs enables reliable diagnosis of premature rupture of membranes, avoiding unnecessary hospitalisation and costs. What’s more, in the event of premature rupture of the membranes, the foetus is exposed to major infectious risks, particularly streptococcus B, which can cause the infant’s death.
